This Woman-Owned Small Business originated in Annapolis, Maryland in 2007 and began as a non-traditional advertising agency. The company’s initial focus was on creating memorable restroom billboards and other unconventional ad campaigns.

Idle Time quickly evolved to being anything but “idle,” after taking on larger-scale outreach programs that promoted pedestrian safety and other critical transportation and mobility initiatives beginning in 2010. Today, the company now partners with advertising, marketing, and state agencies to execute alternative and non-traditional advertising services and logistics. We specialize in public outreach, guerrilla tactics, and other non-traditional media and marketing services and also provide wide format signage.
ITA is a certified MBE/DBE and has been registered with the Maryland Department of Transportation since 2010 and the Metropolitan Washington Unified Certification Program (WMATA) since 2014.
ITA has expanded and now works on projects all across Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. Since 2010, the company has assigned more than 300+ individual staff members to events and public outreach campaigns and is able to successfully execute thousands of activations each year.
